Student of Baku Engineering University (BEU) Leyla Mammadli was among the students awarded the Presidential scholarship for the 2022/2023 academic year by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
L. Mammadli graduated from the Khatinli village secondary school of Tovuz district with a certificate of distinction. L. Mammadli, admitted to BEU with 691.3 points in the entrance exams (I specialty group), preferred the Computer Science Department (English).
Today, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on granting Presidential scholarships to students enrolled in higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the 2022/2023 academic year. According to the document, 102 students who showed the highest results in the exams by categories of specialisation for admission of students in the 2022/2023 academic year and enrolled in higher educational institutions were granted a Presidential scholarship.
It should be noted that for the current academic year, the number of students who chose BEU by scoring above 600 points in the entrance exams for the bachelor's degree of higher educational institutions was 128 people. Thus, compared to the last academic year, this number increased twice.
