The winter exam session of the autumn semester of the 2020/2021 academic year has started online at Baku Engineering University (BEU).
Rector of BEU, Professor Havar Mammadov and other administrative members of the University watched the exams. The Rector said that due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the exams were organized remotely on the e-learning platform, and stressed that all the technical facilities had been created at BEU, an e-university.
The Rector noted that all events had been organized at a high level in order to hold the winter exam session in a transparent and in accordance with existing rules. Expressing confidence that students' knowledge would be assessed objectively and impartially, Havar Mammadov wished success to all students participating in the exam.
Before the exam session, relevant works had been done on the remote organization and control of exams online, as well as the participation process. Furthermore, relevant video instructions, methodological recommendations, visual materials and trainings had been prepared for teachers, administrative staff and students. Currently, BEU's Distance Education and Quality Assurance Center provides operative online technical support to students and teachers during the session.
It should be noted that the exam session, which has started today, will last 4 weeks. During the session, Distance Education and Quality Assurance Center will conduct regular online monitoring of examinations.
