Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), professor Havar Mammadov has met with Nadir Dashdiyev, a second-year student of the Engineering Faculty of the university, who participated in the Aerospace and Technology Festival ("TEKNOFEST-2022 Black Sea") held in Samsun, Republic of Türkiye.
It was noted at the meeting that projects of BEU attracted special attention in the national pavilion organized by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan at "TEKNOFEST-2022". President of Defence Industries of Türkiye Ismail Demir, President of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TUBITAK), Professor Hasan Mandal, as well as Turkish companies and startups were closely interested in the project of BEU RED team. BEU students representing the team at the exhibition (Nadir Dashdiyev and Bika Mammadzada, 4th year student of the Faculty of Engineering) provided the participants with detailed information about the project.
Recalling that the project of the RED team won the first at the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan festival in the category of Robotics on May 26-29 this year, Havar Mammadov emphasized that innovative initiatives and projects of students at BEU were always supported. The rector pointed out that the team members were successfully represented at the festival held in Türkiye and the students would always be supported in their further activitiesş
At the end of the meeting, the rector was presented with a model of "Bayraktar TB2" signed by the technical director of "Baykar" company Selcuk Bayraktar for BEU students.
Of note, various teams from 107 countries participated in the competitions organized within the framework of "TEKNOFEST-2022 Black Sea".
