A sports tournament has been launched at Baku Engineering University (BEU) on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the historic Victory achieved in the 44-day Patriotic War. In the competition organized jointly by the BEU Trade Union Committee, Sports Club and Student Trade Union Committee, staff and students are competing in chess, checkers, as well as football.

The main objective of the tournament is to keep alive the spirit of solidarity, friendship and Victory within the university community, and to contribute to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among young people.

The tournament will conclude on October 31. The winners will be awarded diplomas and prizes on the eve of November 8 - Victory Day.
