Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted a meeting with first-year students. The meeting, organized for the first-year students of Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology and Computer Engineering majors of the Department of Computer and Information Technologies of the Engineering Faculty, aimed to provide general information, as well as support and recommendations on various issues.
Drawing attention to the advantages of the choice of specialization, Vice-Rector for International Relations of BEU, Head of the Department of Computer and Information Technologies Manafaddin Namazov spoke about the growing interest and demand for computer and information technology-oriented specialties in our country as well as the global market. The Vice-Rector added that the students, who got the opportunity to study at BEU with high points in the current academic year mainly preferred the above-mentioned majors, noting the importance of developing individual qualities, knowledge and skills in training young people as specialists. Huseyn Mirzayev, the Dean of the Engineering Faculty, brought into consideration the work and teaching principles and activities of the university. The Dean advised the students not to interrupt their studies, work diligently, and pay attention to the rules of discipline within the university.
Deputy Dean Ali Hasanov spoke in detail about other specialties of the Faculty of Engineering, the electronic platform created at the university and its advantages, the favorable environment created for students, and other issues.
Later, the students' questions were answered at the meeting.
