BEU hosts meeting with employees of Norm Cement Plant

Under the organization of Department on work with entreprises and career of Baku Engineering University (BEU), a meeting has been held with the employees of Norm Cement Plant. 

Fuad Gambarov, HR and Admin supervisor at Norm Cement Plant, noted that was established to implement industrial projects and its main mission was to help conceive and construct strong, safe, and environmentally friendly buildings in Azerbaijan as a building materials producer and service provider. Emphasizing the company's prospects, the company official stressed his interest in exchanging theoretical and practical experience as part of bilateral cooperation with BEU. 

BEU Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Associate Professor Elchin Suleymanov gave in-depth information about the activity, modern material and technical base, as well as the Technopark of the University. The Vice-Rector touched upon the active participation of BEU students in "Skills for the Future" project implemented by "Innovation Center", as well as in innovative projects implemented by the Ministry of Education.

E.Suleymanov provided necessary information about the Dual Degree Program jointly implemented by BEU and INHA University of South Korea in Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering. At the end of his speech, the Vice-Rector expressed his confidence that mutual cooperation would be beneficial.

Tamerlan Alakbarli, Senior HR and Administrative Specialist at the company, pointed out that the company cooperated with companies and organizations having high international reputation in the cement and concrete manufacturing field. He stated that Norm became the first company in the South Caucasus to receive American Petroleum Institute (API) certification.

The meeting focused on the opportunities for students to receive training and education in relevant fields by the company's specialists, the exchange of knowledgeable staff, the joint research projects, the organization of joint training or mentoring programs for students, as well as the other issues.
