Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been represented at the International Eastern Conference (IECHCI 2022) organized by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Middle East Technical University of Türkiye on "Human-Computer Interaction". Elmaddin Huseynov, senior lecturer of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of BEU, participated in the event as a member of the organizing committee of the conference, and a moderator.
A total of 91 articles by 160 authors from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Thailand and Italy were included in the conference organized at "Nakhchivan" University.
Rector of "Nakhchivan" University Nurlana Aliyeva, director of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, academician Ali Abbasov, teacher of the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology Department of Middle East Technical University of Türkiye (METU), professor Kurshat Cagiltay, UX designer (User Experience) of "Electronic ARTS" company Agshin Rajabov, dean of the Faculty of Communication of Galatasaray University, professor Kerem Rizvanoglu and others took the floor at the plenary session of the conference.
At the end of the conference, BEU employee was awarded a certificate for his active participation in the event.
Within the framework of the event, the presentation ceremony of Professor Kurshat Cagiltay's book "From Theory to Practice: Human-Computer Interaction and Usability Engineering" translated into Azerbaijani was held.
"Nakhchivan" University was the winner of the grant project "Raising the professionalism of educators in the field of "Human-computer interfaces" and learning international experience" to be concluded in October 2022, and the conference is the final conference of the above-mentioned project.
