BEU associate professor awarded badge "Leading Educational Worker of Republic of Azerbaijan

Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), Professor Havar Mammadov has presented the badge and certificate of "Leading Educational Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan" to assoc.prof. Atraba Gul, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages.

Of note, according to the relevant Order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev, Atraba Gul has been awarded the title for her fruitful activity in the development of science and education, and high achievements in the education of the young generation.  

Rector Havar Mammadov emphasized that Atraba Gul is already distinguished by her scientific activities and active participation in the social life of the country as the chairperson of BEU Women's Council. Noting that her fruitful projects in this direction are always highly appreciated, the Rector wished Atraba Gul success in her future endeavors.

Atraba Gul completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees of the Faculty of Roman-German Philology at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) with honors. In some years, she worked as a lecturer and senior lecturer of the Department of Teaching Methods and Methodology of Foreign Languages at AUL. During these periods, A.Gul was awarded honorary diplomas by the administration for her achievements in pedagogical activities, active participation in the education of the younger generation and social work.

BEU associate professor conducted research, scientific cooperation and intensive training at the University of Essex, one of the most prestigious public universities in the UK. Furthermore, she has been awarded numerous international certificates. Being the author of more than 50 scientific articles, textbooks, teaching aids and subject programs, Atraba Gul presented articles and theses at conferences, congresses and symposiums organized in the country and abroad. Currently, she is working on her doctoral dissertation "Symbols related to nature in the Azerbaijani and English literature in the intertextual context" at the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS.

Atraba Gul has been awarded various diplomas, medals and honorary degrees for her social activity.
