Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Azerbaijan Railways Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) have signed a cooperation agreement.
Cooperation agreement, signed by BEU Rector, professor Havar Mammadov and the First Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Alirza Suleymanov, envisaged the expansion of practical relationship between industry and science, support for student scholarship programs, and the organization of joint programs. Furthermore, the document covers the formation of business ideas among students, the implementation of innovative initiatives, support for research in the field of railway transport, the establishment of cooperation using the scientific potential of BEU.
The agreement stipulates the involvement of undergratuate and graduate students in various departments at BEU Faculties of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Architecture and Construction, and Engineering in internship programs, and ensuring their participation in industrial and scientific research internship, as well as in seminars and trainings. Moreover, the identification of inventors and professional researchers working at BEU, the discussion of their proposals at Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and their selection for use in production areas are areas of cooperation between the parties.
The document includes measures to include BMU graduates in the reserve base of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC as interns and employees in relevant vacancies, develop joint cooperation plans for their participation in the internship program and employment, implement joint scientific-technical and scientific-practical conferences, seminars, exhibitions, as well as to organize of "master classes" by the leaders and specialists of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.
Another area of cooperation is about the field of research, which includes the implementation of joint work in this area, as well as taking appropriate steps to establish a research laboratory in the field of railway transport in the future.
