“Chemical Engineering Forum 2025” Held at Baku Engineering University

The Society of Chemical Engineers (SChE) has organized an event entitled “Chemical Engineering Forum 2025” at Baku Engineering University (BEU).
The event, which was held in accordance with the 9th (Industry, innovation and infrastructure) and 17th (Partnerships for the Goals) directions of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, was also open to the public and provided an opportunity for everyone interested in the field of chemical engineering to participate.
Mayis Azizov, Head of the Science and Innovation Department of BEU, Ravan Rahimov, Head of the Food and Biotechnology Department, and Namig Shikhaliyev, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, took the floor at the opening of the event. The speeches emphasized the importance of the field of chemical engineering in terms of industry and scientific research, strengthening university-industry cooperation, as well as the role of such forums in the professional development of students.
Later, the head of SchE Alovsat Abasov provided detailed information about the role of society in the formation of students' academic and professional skills, the projects implemented so far, and the future action plan.
Panel sessions were organized on the topics of "Process safety and risk management", "Process monitoring and process design", "Energy management and optimization" as part of the forum. Emil Salimov, Mustafa Sharifov, Surat Asgarov, Ilham Shahverdiyev, Fuad Omar, Rahib Gasimov, Sanan Suleymanli and Orkhan Mammadli, the speakers at the panel, shared their knowledge and experience with the participants.
The forum continued with interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions and became a useful platform for students in terms of increasing practical knowledge in the field and expanding professional networking opportunities
