Career Week 2025 Launched at BEU

Career Week 2025 has been launched at Baku Engineering University (BEU) under the organization of the Center for Enterprise Relations and Career.

 

Within the framework of the week, a Graduate Panel and Career Fair have been organized for students and graduates of BEU's engineering, architecture and construction faculties. Speaking at the panel, the center's director Gulchohra Ibrahimova stated that the "Career Week 2025: Discover Your Future!" project is being implemented in accordance with the 9th direction of the UN Sustainable Development Goals - the "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure" target. The main objective of this initiative is to enhance the knowledge and skills of young people, to connect them more closely with the business world, and to support the development of innovative thinking approaches. It was emphasized that such events play an important role in preparing students and graduates for the labor market.

 

Subsequently, the panel speakers - BEU graduates Nazrin Babayeva, engineer at "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC, Javid Mustafayev, lead engineer for static equipment at "SOCAR Downstream Management" LLC, Gismat Ibishov, construction engineer at "EVRASCON" OJSC, and Elgun Najafzade, graduate process engineer at "PD&MS Group" - provided detailed information about their professional activities. They shared with students the experiences they encountered when entering the work life, the application of acquired knowledge in real projects, and the main stages of career advancement. The speakers particularly emphasized the importance of mastering the profession in depth, active participation in internship programs during student years, and the development of foreign language and communication skills. During the presentations, important nuances that students should pay attention to were highlighted and a number of practical recommendations were given to graduates.

 

At the end, participants' questions were answered.

 

Following the panel, the Career Fair was reviewed. Prestigious state and private companies were represented at the fair with their stands. During the fair tour, vacancies and internship programs were presented to students and graduates. During the course of the fair, students and graduates communicated with companies and had the opportunity to submit their CVs for suitable qvacancies.

 

It should be noted that within the framework of "Career Week 2025," held with the support of "Holberton School Azerbaijan, Mama’m Bakery” and “Berqa”, a Graduate Panel and Career Fair will also be organized on December 11 for students of the Faculty of Economics and Management, and on December 16 for students of the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies.
