Students’ success
The achievements of our students studying at Engineering Faculty of Baku Engineering University in 2017-2019 at the Republican and International Competitions:
1) On May 6, 2017, “BEU Programmers” team (Rashad Mammadov, Mahmud Allahverdiyev, Muzaffar Mammadli, team leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) took the first place at the competition " Republican Olympiad in Informatics among high school students" that was attended by 52 teams from 24 higher education institutions, dedicated to the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day and jointly organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Education and the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.
2) On 27-30 October 2017, at the "XI Vekua Cup International Programming Contest" at the European University in Tbilisi, Georgia, students of Baku Engineering University: Rashad Mammadov and Mahmud Allahverdiyev were awarded II degree diploma while Asiman Aghayev, Mammad Hajili, Rasul Kerimov, and Taghi Ashrafov High achievement certificate. In the team competition, Baku EU 1 (Rashad Mammadov, Mahmud Allahverdiyev, Taghi Ashrafov, team leaders: Etibar Seyidzadeh, Rauf Suleymanli) and Baku EU 2 (Mammad Hajili, Rasul Kerimov, Asiman Aghayev, team leaders: Etibar Seyidzadeh, Rauf Suleymanli) teams have been awarded the Highest Achievement Certificate.
3) On November 4, 2017, “Baku Engineering University 1” team (Rashad Mammadov, Mahmud Allahverdiyev, Rasul Kerimov, team leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) was awarded 1st place, while “Baku Engineering University 3” (Ceyhun Yagublu, Aydin Abbasov, Sultan Murtuzaliev, team leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) 3rd place, “Baku Engineering University 2” (Mammad Hajili, Asiman Agayev, Taghi Ashrafov, team leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) and “Baku Engineering University 4” teams (Muzaffer Mammadli, Kamil Aliyev, Fazil Amirli, team leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) “Highest Achievement Certificate, “Baku Engineering University 5” (Farid Veliyev, Tural Sadigov, Araz Heydarov, team leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) the certificate of honor ¼ final round of the 42nd ACM ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest supported by Baku Engineering University, Baku State University, ADA University, NAPCAR, IEEE Computer Society Azerbaijan, ACM Azerbaijan Branch.
4) The semifinals of the "42nd ACM ICPC 2017-2018 NEERC Student Programming Contest" held at the European University in Tbilisi, Georgia on December 1-6, 2017 and “Baku Engineering University 1” (Rashad Mammadov, Mahmud Allahverdiyev, Rasul Kerimov, Team Leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) team was awarded ACM ICPC 2017-2018 Azerbaijan Champion's Certificate, ACM ICPC 2017-2018 NEERC III degree Certificate, 1st Degree Diploma of South Caucasus Open Championship, while “Baku Engineering University 2” team (Mammad Hajili , Tagi Ashrafov, Asiman Aghayev, team leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) ACM ICPC 2017-2018 NEERC Distinguished Certificate at the Semifinal round of the 42nd ACM ICPC 2017-2018 NEERC International Collegiate Programming Contest and team competition in the South Caucasus Open Championship held at the European University in Tbilisi, Georgia, December 1-6, 2017. Mahmud Allahverdiyev, Rashad Mammadov, Mammad Hajili, Rasul Kerimov, Asiman Aghayev and Tagi Ashrafov were awarded with the highest achievement certificate of the South Caucasus Open Championship.
5) Rashad Mammadov and Mahmud Allahverdiyev have been awarded I degree diploma, while Mammad Hajili, Tagi Ashrafov II degree diploma, Jeyhun Yagublu III degree diploma, Asiman Aghayev High achievement certificate, Elvin Aghamammadzadeh Honorable certificate at the CODE CUP 2017 Programming Olympiad organized by NetWork Training Center and NAPCAR at NetWork Training Center on December 9, 2017.
6) Successfully participating in the international semifinal round of "İSBAK Yazılım Maratonu '18" international programming contestheld online on January 19-21, and attended by 415 teams, Ejdaxas team (Rashad Mammadov, Mahmud Allahverdiyev, Rasul Kerimov) won the right to attend final round of the constest.
7) 34 teams from different higher education intitutions and companies, including Baku Engineering University HUB, ADA University HUB, Hackademy HUB, d.a.h programing group HUB participated in the classification phase of the International Programming Competition "Hash Code 2018 by Google" held on 1-2 March 2018. BEU Programmers team (Rashad Mammadov, Mahmud Allahverdiyev, Rasul Karimov, Mammad Hajili) have completed the competition classification for the firstly.
8) Under the joint organization of Harbour Space University, Amrita School of Engineering, Codeforces, and “Moscow Workshops ACM-ICPC”, "Hello India x Russia Programming Bootcamp ACM-ICPC 2018" international programming competitions and trainings were held at Amrita School of Engineering base in Amritapuri, India, on March 22-30. 39 teams participated in trainings and competitions that were attended by 28 universities from 8 countries (India, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Lithuania, Oman, Russia, Singapore, Japan), 3 colleges and 3 companies. BEU Programmers team (Rashad Mammadov, Mahmud Allahverdiyev, Rasul Karimov, Team Leader Etibar Seyidzade) showed the high result (2nd place in the competition, 1st place in 5 competitions), was the winner of "Hello India x Russia Programming Bootcamp ACM-ICPC 2018" international programming competition, and was awarded a gold medal.
9) On May 5, 2018, 62 teams from 25 universities participated in the All-republican Olympiad for information science among higher school students that was jointly organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Education and the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS and dedicated to May 17th – the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day. BEU Programmers team (Mahmud Allahverdiyev, Rasul Karimov, Mammad Hajili, team leader Etibar Seyidzade) was awarded I place.
10) “XII Vecua Cup International Programming Competition” was held on May 25-28, 2018 at the Sukhumi State University in Tbilisi. The competition was also held in several cities of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, and attended by schoolchildren, students and veterans (participants of previous ACM ICPC contests) from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia. In the individual competition, Mahmud Allahverdiyev and Rashad Mammadov were awarded III degree diploma, while Ulvi Aslanli, Rasul Karimov and Mammad Hajili- the Certificate of High Achievement, Ayyub Najafzadeh-Certificate of Honor. Moreover, in the team competition, “Baku EU 1(Rashad Mammadov, Mahmud Allahverdiyev, Ayub Najafzade, team leaders: Etibar Seyidzade, Rauf Suleymanli) was awarded II degree diploma, “Baku EU 2” team (Mammad Hajili, Rasul Kerimov, Ulvi Aslanli, Komli Aslanli) Heads - Etibar Seyidzade, Rauf Suleymanli) - III degree diploma.
11) On September 26-October 4, under the joint arranegement of Moscow Workshops ICPC, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, ITMO University, Harbour Space University, Codeforces, international programming trainings “Hello Barcelona in collaboration with Moscow Workshops ICPC 2018” were held in Barcelona, Spain. The trainings were intended to prepare for ACM-ICPC the International Programming Contest and conducted by world-renowned experts from Russia. 35 teams from 18 countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Iceland, Japan, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mexico, Oman, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, USA) participated in the trainings. The trainings were also attended by the BEU Programmers team of Baku Engineering University (Rashad Mammadov, Ulvi Aslanli, Ayyub Najafzade, team leader Etibar Seyidzade).
12) On October 27,2018, the ¼ final round of “43rd ACM ICPC - International Collegiate Programming Contest” was held at BEU. 45 teams from 17 universities participated in the contest.
“Baku Engineering University 1” team (Rashad Mammadov, Ulvi Aslanli, Eyyub Najafzadeh, Team Leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) was awarded I degree diploma, I place, while “Baku Engineering University 4” team (Tagi Ashrafov, Asiman Aghayev, Sultan Murtuzaliyev, Team Leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) - I degree diploma, III place, “Baku Engineering University 2” team (Nicad Huseynov, Javid Efendiyev, Zechariah Zechariah, team leader Etibar Seyidzade) - II degree diploma, “Baku Engineering University 3” team (Muzaffer Mammadli, Adil Abdurrazakli, Kamil Aliyev, team leader Etibar Seyidzadeh) - III degree diploma.
13) 300 teams from 11 countries participated in the semi-final stage (team) of “The 43rd ACM ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest” and South Caucasus Open Championship (team and individual) held in Tbilisi, Georgia on November 30 - December 5, 2018.
“Baku Engineering University 1” team (Rashad Mammadov, Ulvi Aslanli, Eyyub Najafzadeh, team leader Etibar Seyidzade) was awarded ACM ICPC 2018-2019 Certificate of the Azerbaijani Championship, ACM ICPC 2018-2019 NEERC III degree certificate, II degree diploma OF South Caucasian Open Championship, while “Baku Engineering University 4” team (Taghi Ashrafov, Asiman Aghayev, Sultan Murtuzaliyev, team leader Etibar Seyidzadeh)- Certificate of Honors of ACM ICPC 2018-2019 NEERC, and High Achievement Certificate of the South Caucasus Open Championship.
In the individual competition of the "South Caucasus Open Championship" Rashad Mammadov was awarded II degree diploma, while Sultan Murtuzaliyev- III degree diploma, Ulvi Aslanli and Tagi Ashrafov – High Achievement Certificate, Asiman Aghayev and Eyyub Najafzadeh – Certificate of Honors.
14) On September 29, 2018, "Rodimus" team of students of Engineering Faculty held the 3rd place at the final stage of AzerCosmos's CanSat project.
15) Team of Engineering Faculty of Baku Engineering University was the winner of GONEX project in the finals of startup rounds “ From Idea to Business” organized by the Ministry of Transport and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan on October 26, 2018.
16) The reports were listened in the two-day event “Makers’ DAYS” , organized by the ProgElectro team, a panel “Əşyaların interneti” and robotics competition “Xətt izləyən” were held. A robot made by the team of the students of Engineering Faculty was the winner in the competition four teams attended by four teams.
