Modern market economy system has certain principles and laws, the most important of which is competition. At present, business units operate in a competitive environment, regardless of the size, scope, legal form. Under such circumstances, not only do they succeed, but also depend on their competitiveness and ability to compete, in general, to survive and to continue their activities. This is possible only with the involvement of qualified personnel who are trained to meet modern requirements for business organization and management.
Purpose of the department
The main goal of the Business Management Department is to train qualified personnel who are capable of organizing and managing their business efficiently, productively and proficiently according to modern requirements.
Activity directions of the department
Staff training in the department is carried out in Azerbaijan and English as a bachelor's degree, magistracy in Azerbaijani language, MBA in both Azerbaijani and English, as well as doctoral degree in "Organization and management of business".

International relations of the department
The curriculum of specialties has been developed based on the experience of foreign universities. Employees of the department, as a rule, participate in exchange programs in different countries of the world, as well as in joint projects. Students studying at the department are actively involved in exchange programs with foreign countries. In this process the necessary support is provided to the students regularly.
Role of the department in career and internship
Students studying at the Department of Business Management are conducting a series of activities such as master classes, workshops, meetings on preparation for work life in the educational process. The most important of these are manufacturing practices. In particular, students studying for a bachelor's degree are sent to work in the last semester for 14 weeks. Practices are generally implemented in leading enterprises of the country.
In particular, one of the most important topics in the selection of qualifications at the bachelor's degree is the lack of job opportunities after graduation. This issue has always been topical, and it is also relevant today. Those who are studying business management are very lucky in this regard. First of all, because business activity will protect the existence of the society as long as there is humanity. That is, there is no end to this activity. Secondly, business management incorporates a number of specialties that exist in modern times and graduates of this specialty can operate on each of these areas. At the same time, they are able to continue their education by choosing one of these specialties at the next stage of the education, in line with their desires. On the other hand, students who are trained in Business Management generally have general knowledge about organizing and managing business, so they can work in all fields of industry such as industry, agriculture, banking, finance, trade, tourism. From this point of view there is no limit to the graduates. In short, graduates in Business Management are most likely to be able to work as compared to graduates of other specialties.
Material and technical base of the department (laboratories)
Laboratory research on the most statistics and econometrics in the field of business is carried out so that the department has a computer laboratory equipped with appropriate programs (EViews, SPSS, etc.) that serve this purpose.
Scientific and social activity of the department for students
Students studying in the department participate in scientific and social activities through different organizations, associations and clubs, including Student Scientific Society, Business Club. Demonstrate their knowledge and skills in both academic and practical, social events both internationally and internationally.
