The International Relations at Baku Engineering University (BEU) is dedicated to enhancing the international reputation of the University and strengthening its global presence. The mission of International Relations is to foster continuous professional development for academic and administrative staff, facilitate participation in international programs and projects, ensure globally recognized education standards, and promote international scientific research collaborations.

Global Partnerships and Exchange Programs
Bilateral Cooperation Agreements: BEU has signed agreements with over 10 universities across China, France, Finland, Poland, Romania, Türkiye, Germany, Korea, Spain, Italy etc.
Erasmus+ KA1 Program: BEU collaborates with universities in Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Portugal, Romania, Poland, Türkiye, Germany, Spain, and Latvia. Through Erasmus+ KA1, BEU facilitates the exchange of students, academic staff, and researchers, while promoting joint seminars, conferences, and academic programs.
International Student Community: Currently, BEU hosts 125 students from 26 countries including Algeria, Bangladesh, Benin, Djibouti, Chad, Afghanistan, Palestine, Georgia, India, Iraq, Jordan, Gambia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Türkiye, Uganda, Yemen, Philippines, Tajikistan, Angola, Nepal, Iran.

BEU is actively involved in several Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects, contributing to institutional development and internationalization.
1. NIZAMI - Restructuring and Development of Doctoral Studies in Azerbaijan
o Grant Holder: Université de Montpellier (France)
o Duration: 2015–2018
o Objective: Align doctoral education in Azerbaijan with European higher education standards and create a national doctoral education portal.
o BEU actively contributed to the development of the "Scientific Guidance Agreement" to standardize PhD supervision.
2. PROMIG - Promoting Migration Studies in Higher Education

o BEU staff participated in training programs, Winter and Summer Schools, and contributed to the development of migration studies curricula.
