BEU students develop device that allows pets to be fed remotely

Students of Baku Engineering University (BEU) have developed a device called "Pet feeder" that provides remote feeding of pets. The Wi-Fi controlled device is the perfect tool for people to conveniently feed their pets even when they are away from home (traveling, work, etc.).

The project was developed by Ali Safarli and Ibad Nasrullayev, II-year students majoring in electrical engineering (BEU-INHA DDP) under the guidance of Hamed Kagazchin, the senior lecturer of the university.

The device, distinguished by the advantage of remote control, executes the process through a special program. With a device with a pre-programmable electronic system, it is possible to adjust the feeding time and amount. Thus, the device enables the owners to feed their pets at the desired time and quantity. The only requirement for this is a Wi-Fi connection.

When the pet approaches the device, the "I'm here" notification is received through the sensor, then the pet is provided with water and food. With the feed button in the program, it is possible to give the appropriate amount of feed depending on the food, and with the water button, it is possible to open and close the water fountain for any period of time.
