A Letter of Intent to develop cooperation between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Korea Inha University has been signed.
The document, signed by BEU Rector Yagub Piriyev and Head of Inha University Cho Myong Woo, aims to strengthen relations, as well as to increase educational experience and opportunities for students of both sides.
The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Science and Education Idris Isayev, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Education Nijat Mammadli, Director of the State Agency for Vocational Education Jeyhun Karamov, Head of the State Program Management Group Turan Topalova, as well as leaders of both universities.
According to the Letter of Intent, the two universities will collaborate to develop academic programs, research initiatives and cultural exchanges. In the agreement document, issues such as giving special privileges to the graduates of the international dual degree program jointly implemented between BEU and Inha, in particular, giving full scholarships to 10% of the program graduates of Inha University, if they are accepted into the master's programs of this university, were reflected in the agreement document.
The dual degree program between BEU and Inha University was launched in 2020. A total of 385 students study within the program based on the 3+1 model. They have the right to study at BEU for 3 years and at Inha University for 1 year.
In accordance with the program, 61 students are graduating this year from BEU "Construction Engineering", "Information Technologies", "Electrical Engineering" and "Electronics Engineering" Departments.
