Meeting Held with New Students Admitted to Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering

The latest orientation meeting organized for first-year students at Baku Engineering University (BEU) was held with newly admitted students of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

The meeting was attended by the faculty's Dean, Nizami Ahmadov, and other staff members. During the speeches, students were given information about the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the teaching process carried out here, opportunities for students to engage in research, project, and creative activities, as well as the modern educational environment created at the university.

It was noted that broad opportunities have been created for students studying at the faculty to develop their creative potential, master modern technologies and professional software, and reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical skills. The modern material and technical base, laboratories, digital capabilities, and project-oriented teaching environment serve to help students develop into creative, analytical, and innovative-minded, competitive specialists who meet the future demands of the labor market. Modern software, innovative technologies, and methods are widely used in the teaching process. Students' participation in various projects and practical activities creates conditions for developing their professional skills and applying the theoretical knowledge they have gained to real tasks.

Questions of interest to the new students regarding easier adaptation to university life, the organization of the teaching process, and student life were answered. At the same time, students were given detailed information about BEU's electronic management system and the university's internal disciplinary rules.

The importance of cooperation between the university and students, an active student life, and making effective use of additional development opportunities for students' academic and professional development was also specifically emphasized. They were advised to actively make use of the opportunities offered by the university and to continuously develop their knowledge and skills.

At the end of the event, an exam was organized to place students admitted to the faculty's English-language sections into groups matching their level of language proficiency, in order to ensure more effective development of their language skills.
