Student Trade Union Committee

The Student Trade Union Committee (THIK) of Baku Engineering University is a student organization operating to support students’ social, civic, cultural, intellectual, and professional development, ensure their active participation in university life, and create opportunities for student initiatives to be implemented.

THIK operates under Baku Engineering University and the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers. The Committee supports the representation of students’ rights and interests, contributes to creating an environment of cooperation and solidarity among students, and facilitates projects, events, and initiatives aimed at developing their personal and professional skills.

THIK’s activities are organized across areas covering students’ diverse interests and abilities. Clubs operating under the Committee and faculty-level student structures support student initiatives, develop practical skills, and enable active participation in the university’s social life.

Organizational Structure

THIK operates through an organizational structure based on mutual cooperation and coordination. This structure enables students to participate at different levels, coordinates initiatives, and supports the effective implementation of projects.

THIK Chairperson

Provides overall leadership and coordination of the Committee, determines the main areas of activity, and supports the development of student initiatives and projects.

THIK Board

Participates in coordinating the Committee’s areas of activity, preparing and implementing projects and events, discussing student matters, and organizing the Committee’s day-to-day activities.

Club Chairpersons

Lead the activities of clubs operating under THIK, determine their areas of activity, coordinate projects and events, and ensure interaction between the club and THIK.

Club Boards

Boards operating under the leadership of club chairpersons participate in preparing and implementing club projects, events, and other initiatives. They support the organization and coordination of the club’s various activities.

Faculty Chairpersons

Act as a liaison between students at the faculties and THIK. They contribute to supporting student initiatives, involving students in the Committee’s activities, and coordinating THIK’s areas of activity across faculties.
