BEU Student Achieve Successful Result at "Metro Hackathon" Project

The "Gənclik" team, represented by Baku Engineering University (BEU) student Fuad Mammadov, has achieved a strong result at the "Metro Hackathon" project. The team, which included Fuad Mammadov — a first-year master's student majoring in Information Systems in Management at the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies — demonstrated a high level of professionalism at the competition and was awarded second place.

The "Metro Hackathon" project was organized by Baku Metro OJSC, a company under AZCON Holding, with the aim of digitalizing passenger transportation services through artificial intelligence (AI)-based innovative solutions and unlocking the potential of young people.

Teams confirmed to participate in the project competed under the names of metro stations. Winning teams were presented with cash prizes and special gifts.

The objective of the project is to achieve strategic targets such as passenger flow management and congestion reduction through AI-based technologies, as well as to bring about digital transformation in the capital's transportation system by converting young people's innovative ideas into real infrastructure solutions.
