BEU Students Win First Place at Robotic Coding Competition
April 6, 2026
Students of Baku Engineering University (BEU) have claimed victory at the "RoboCode III" robotic coding competition held among youth, jointly organized by the Innovation Center of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President, "Bilişim Vadisi," and "SAHA Robotics."
The "Qizilbash" team, represented by second-year students of the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies Efshan Satiyev and Abbas Abusatdarov, took first place. The team, captained by Efshan Satiyev, competed with the "Precisiondrop" project — a semi-autonomous AI-integrated cargo release drone.
It is worth noting that a team comprising other students from the same faculty — Shahnabat Rustemova and Rahman Cavziyev — along with students from the Faculty of Engineering — Ulvu Mahmudov and Nazrin Hamidova — was awarded third place for their solution.
The robotic coding camp aimed to develop participants' knowledge and skills in robotics, automation, and autonomous systems, as well as to facilitate their access to the ROS (Robot Operating System) ecosystem. Five teams qualified for the final stage of the competition, and their projects were evaluated by a panel of judges.
