BEU Advances 96 Positions in "QS Europe 2026" Ranking, Rising to 395th Place

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has achieved a successful result in the "QS Europe 2026" ranking table announced by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), an international analytical agency in the field of higher education.

BEU, which has once again been included in the ranking of Europe's best universities, has advanced 96 positions compared to last year, rising to 395th place.

Among Western Asian universities (QS Western Asia 2026), BEU has advanced 11 positions compared to last year, ranking 23rd.

A total of 958 higher education institutions from Europe have been included in the new ranking. In the ranking table, 15 universities from our country have been included alongside BEU, with 6 of them being included for the first time. BEU ranks 5th nationwide.

This is a clear indicator of the sustainable development the university has achieved in teaching, scientific research, internationalization, reputation among employers, and graduate achievements over the past two years. Thus, BEU advanced 60 positions in the 2025 ranking table and 96 positions in 2026, demonstrating a significant overall rise of 156 positions in the QS Europe ranking over the past two years.

BEU's substantial improvement in ranking position is the result of a targeted strategy implemented to enhance the quality of higher education, apply modern teaching methods, strengthen student exchange programs and international collaborations. This achievement once again confirms the university's recognition in the European higher education space and its increased competitiveness.

The ranking is determined based on a total of 12 indicators (recognition in academic and employer communities, contribution to research, quality of educational environment, internationalization, academic mobility, commitment to sustainable development, etc.).
