BEU Rector visits Tashkent International University of Financial Management and Technologies

As part of the "QS Eurasia Forum 2025" held in Uzbekistan, Baku Engineering University (BEU) Rector Yagub Piriyev has visited the Tashkent International University of Financial Management and Technologies (TIFT). During the meeting, the expansion of relations between the two higher education institutions, the identification of new areas of cooperation, and the implementation of joint initiatives were discussed.

Welcoming the BEU delegation, TIFT Rector Azizkhon Nodirov emphasized the dynamic development of relations between the two universities, noting that sharing the scientific and academic environment would create the basis for larger-scale projects in the future.

BEU Rector Yagub Piriyev touched upon the importance of the continuous development of partnership in the field of education and research. The Rector pointed out that interaction with TIFT opens up new opportunities in terms of student and teacher mobility. It was also emphasized that joint projects are planned to be further activated in the next period.

During the visit, Yagub Piriyev also met with the TIFT academic staff, visiting an exhibition of handiwork of design and architecture students at the university. The strong academic base, modern laboratories and creative environment in the same areas at BEU were highlighted, and opportunities for exchange of experience and implementation of joint projects in this area were considered.

Of note, in February of this year, BEU and TIFT signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in Baku. The document envisages strengthening academic exchanges and scientific research initiatives between the two universities. The first student exchange was also successfully implemented within the framework of the cooperation. In September, a TIFT student studied at BEU under the exchange program.
