BEU Faculty and Student Delegation on Exchange Programme Visited Uzbekistan
May 29, 2026
A group of faculty members and students from Baku Engineering University (BEU) have participated in academic and practical events at an Uzbek higher education institution as part of an exchange programme with Tashkent International University of Financial Management and Technology (TIFT).
The primary objectives of the visit are to strengthen academic ties between the two higher education institutions, expand student exchange opportunities, and contribute to the development of cooperation directions.
Within the framework of the programme, BEU students have familiarised themselves with the educational process and material-technical facilities at TIFT. They also attended lectures and seminars across various disciplines and took part in scientific-practical discussions. In addition, presentations were held for the students covering the university's international cooperation activities, educational opportunities, and student life. The various meetings and events create conditions for students to both enhance their professional knowledge and gain firsthand familiarity with the country's educational and cultural environment.
For reference, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between BEU and TIFT was signed at the beginning of last year. The document provides for strengthening mutual interest in the fields of teaching, education, and scientific research, the implementation of joint projects, the development of academic initiatives, as well as the realisation of faculty and student exchange programmes.
Prior to this visit, faculty and student delegations from both universities had conducted reciprocal visits under the exchange programme and participated in various academic meetings, training sessions, and practical activities.
