BEU's Membership in BRAUIC, Uniting Prestigious Universities, Creates New Partnership Opportunities

Baku Engineering University (BEU) was represented at the 10th International Conference and Forum of the Belt and Road Architecture Universities International Consortium (BRAUIC), hosted by Shandong Jianzhu University in Jinan, People's Republic of China.

Within the framework of the two-day event, BEU's membership in the prestigious consortium was formalized and announced.

Established in 2017, BRAUIC is an international platform that promotes the development of scientific and technical cooperation, innovation and academic exchange among higher education institutions in the fields of architecture, construction and engineering. The consortium currently unites 101 member institutions from 33 countries and regions. Among its members are universities, research institutions and other organizations representing various countries of the world, including China, Russia, France, the United Kingdom, the USA, Italy, Australia and Brazil.

Azerbaijan being one of the first countries to support China's Belt and Road Initiative has laid the groundwork for the development of cooperation between our countries in various areas. In this context, BEU's membership in BRAUIC is of great importance for expanding Azerbaijan-China relations in the fields of higher education, science and innovation, as well as for developing international academic partnerships.

BEU's membership in the consortium is highly significant in terms of the university's integration into the international academic network, establishing scientific ties with foreign partners and expanding the exchange of experience in the field of engineering education. Within this framework, opportunities arise for preparing joint research projects, academic exchange, participation in international scientific events, improving teaching methods and cooperation in the field of innovative technologies. It is important to emphasize that the consortium's areas of activity also include relevant fields such as urban and regional planning, civil engineering, smart construction technologies, renewable energy, smart cities, robotics, artificial intelligence and the digitalization of cultural heritage. These areas are potential cooperation fields in terms of linking education and research activities in the relevant specialties with international experience, developing scientific partnerships and preparing new projects.

Thus, while membership in BRAUIC is an important achievement for BEU, it creates broad opportunities for studying international academic experience in engineering and related fields, strengthening research potential and establishing new cooperation ties with the consortium's member universities. BEU's joining the ranks of the consortium's members within a short period is a significant step toward the university's integration into the international academic space and the expansion of its cooperation geography.
