BEU Instructor Conduct Training on International Academic Publishing

A senior instructor at the Department of Foreign Languages of Baku Engineering University (BEU), Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Sevda Huseynova, has delivered a training session for the faculty, young scientists and researchers of Mingachevir State University on the topic of "Publishing in Cambridge Core: A Practical Journey Based on Real Experience with Cambridge University Press."

During the training, participants were provided with detailed information on publishing opportunities within the Cambridge Core academic database, the selection of appropriate journals, the preparation of articles, and the indexing processes in international academic databases. Drawing on her experience of collaboration with Cambridge University Press, Sevda Huseynova presented the stages of preparing a scholarly article for publication and achieving successful publication, illustrated with practical examples.

As part of the training, the process of indexing the author's article - published in a Q1 quartile journal - in the Cambridge Core, Scopus, and Web of Science databases was also presented to participants as a case study.

At the conclusion of the session, questions of interest to participants were answered.

It should be noted that Sevda Huseynova's scholarly article has been published in the prestigious journal Iranian Studies, issued by Cambridge University Press and included in the Cambridge Core platform. The article was published within the framework of an agreement concluded between the Ministry of Science and Education and Cambridge University Press, a leading British academic publisher. Under the agreement, Azerbaijani scholars have gained the opportunity to publish an unlimited number of articles over a three-year period in high-impact factor, hybrid, and gold open access journals published by the aforementioned publisher. This collaboration model strengthens the integration of scientists into international academic networks and serves to raise the profile of the country's scientific potential.
