Start of Teaching the “Introduction to Entrepreneurship” Course at BEU

A new teaching program for the “Introduction to Entrepreneurship” course has been launched at Baku Engineering University (BEU) with the aim of developing students’ knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship. Implemented within the framework of cooperation between the BEU Technopark and SABAH.academy, the program involves more than 120 students of the university.

Within the framework of the program, during the first lecture, students were given the opportunity to engage in direct communication with an international expert, Professor Alberto Levy of IE Business School. In his presentation, the specialist provided detailed information on the mechanisms of formation of the modern entrepreneurial ecosystem, innovative business models, startup culture, and strategies for entering the global market.

During the first lecture, which continued in an interactive format, students’ questions were answered and discussions were held based on real business cases.

It was emphasized during the event that organizing such lectures with the participation of international experts creates conditions for students to become familiar with global business trends, learn modern management approaches, and approach entrepreneurial activity with greater confidence.

The “Introduction to Entrepreneurship” teaching program plays an important role in enabling students to acquire entrepreneurial skills, makes a significant contribution to their closer integration with the real sector, and aims to promote an innovation culture within the university. Through the program, the fundamental principles of entrepreneurship are taught, including business planning, market analysis, financial management, and the intricacies of launching and managing a successful startup. In accordance with the program, during the spring semester, reputable professors from IE Business School will deliver lectures twice a week, while well-known local and international experts of the entrepreneurial ecosystem will share a comprehensive learning experience with students on the seminar platform. At the end, students will present group projects that represent practical applications of their theoretical knowledge.

Certificates will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the course.
