CTF Competition on Cybersecurity Held at BEU

A cybersecurity competition in "Capture The Flag" (CTF) format was organized by the "Cybersecurity Club" operating under the Trade Union Committee of Students (TUCS) at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

 

At the opening of the event, Ali Huseynov, Chairman of TUCS, emphasized the growing importance of cybersecurity in the modern era, the strategic role of protecting information security, and the necessity of training young specialists in this field. It was noted that the main objective of the competition is to increase interest in the field of cybersecurity among students, reinforce theoretical knowledge with practical skills, and foster a healthy competitive environment.

 

During the competition, held with the support of the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies, participants were presented with tasks based on real cybersecurity scenarios. Students demonstrated teamwork and individual skills by completing tasks covering various difficulty levels within a specified timeframe. Throughout the competition, students utilized flexible decision-making and analytical skills, gaining practical experience in solving real problems in information security.

 

At the end of the competition, distinguished participants were awarded certificates and gifts.
