Training on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research and Teaching at BEU

A training session on "Application Opportunities of Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research and the Teaching Process" has been organized for the faculty members and staff of the Information and Computer Technologies Faculty of Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Conducted by faculty instructor Ertugrul Gayibov, the training provided information on the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the educational environment, the organization of more interactive lessons, and the application opportunities in the digitalization of scientific research activities.

During the training, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of upholding academic integrity principles. It was noted that, with adherence to anti-plagiarism regulations, artificial intelligence tools can help teachers and students organize their work more efficiently in the processes of teaching, research, and information processing.

In the practical segment, the application of modern artificial intelligence programs was demonstrated to participants. Within this framework, the usage guidelines of the NotebookLM and Gemini platforms were explained in detail using real-world examples.

The training continued with a question-and-answer session, during which discussions were held on the risks that may arise from the use of artificial intelligence in teaching, the updating of assessment criteria, and matters related to the use of this technology.
