Academic Council Meeting Held at BEU

The next meeting of the Academic Council has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Opening the meeting with an introductory address, Council Chairman and Rector Yagub Piriyev outlined the matters on the agenda. At the same time, the Rector noted that the third monograph of Professor of the Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Power Engineering at BEU, Doctor of Technical Sciences Islam Islamov, has been published by “Springer”, one of the world’s leading scientific publishers, and extended his congratulations on behalf of the university staff.

Reports were then presented on the work carried out in the areas of Industry Relations and Career Development, as well as on the results of the activities of the Strategy and Quality Assurance Department.

Extensive discussions were held on each report, and the reports were deemed satisfactory following the presentation of proposals and comments by Council members.

As the meeting continued with the discussion of various matters, Rector Yagub Piriyev issued instructions to the relevant structural units, emphasizing the importance of continuing efforts to further strengthen industry relations, expand students' career opportunities, enhance professional training in line with labor market requirements, and improve quality assurance mechanisms in academic and administrative processes. The rector noted that the systematic implementation of work in the aforementioned areas would make a significant contribution to the further development of the university and the enhancement of its competitiveness.

Discussions were also held on various other matters at the meeting, and relevant decisions were adopted.
