Last Scientific Council Meeting of Current Year Held at Baku Engineering University

The last Scientific Council meeting of 2025 has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Scientific Council, Rector Yagub Piriyev congratulated the members of the Council on the occasion of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and  New Year and wished them success. Providing information about the issues on the agenda, the Rector touched upon the main goals of the university in 2026. Underlining the important socio-economic, scientific and international successes achieved by our country during the year under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the Rector stated that these achievements set new tasks for higher education institutions. In this context, he stressed the significance of improving the quality of education, strengthening scientific and research activities, expanding international cooperation, and continuing work in the areas of innovation and digitalization in line with new challenges.

A report was heard on the organization of teaching, scientific and research and educational work at the Faculty of Architecture and Construction in accordance with the agenda of the meeting. Discussions were held around the report, and it was considered satisfactory and adopted, taking into account the opinions and suggestions voiced.

Rector Yagub Piriyev pointed out that elections for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction were held this month. Introducing the newly elected Associate Professor Nizami Ahmadov, the Rector noted that he has sufficient pedagogical and scientific experience. Moreover, Y.Piriyev gave instructions on the main tasks facing the faculty, the implementation of student-oriented projects and other relevant issues.

The meeting ended with the discussion of other issues and the adoption of relevant decisions.
