Training Conducted by Clarivate at BEU

A training session on innovations in the Web of Science platform, as well as the management of organizational and author profiles, was organized at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

At the opening of the training, Agasi Malikov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at BEU, delivered a speech emphasizing the important role of international scientometric databases in the objective evaluation of scientific activity. He noted that prestigious platforms such as Web of Science provide extensive opportunities for researchers to present their scientific results to the global scientific community in an accurate and transparent manner.

Khayala Hajiyeva, an employee of Clarivate, delivered a presentation at the training. During the presentation, recent innovations and functional capabilities of the Web of Science platform, proper structuring and analytical capabilities of organizational profiles, and issues related to the management, verification, and consolidation of author profiles were explained in detail.

The presentation highlighted the main challenges faced by researchers during scientific activity and presented practical approaches on how the Web of Science platform addresses these needs and expectations. Information was also provided on journal selection evaluation criteria and available resources for learning and teaching. Materials available on the platform for BEU were brought to the attention of participants.

During the training, which continued in an interactive format, participants' questions were answered, and suggestions and recommendations were made regarding the dissemination of researchers' scientific activities to a wider audience through prestigious international scientometric databases.
