BEU Students, International Award Winners, Take Part in Minister's Meeting with Youth

On August 11, students of Baku Engineering University (BEU) took part in a meeting held by Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov with young people who had participated in international events with the ministry's support and achieved success.

During the meeting, the minister congratulated the young people on their achievements and exchanged views on the international events they took part in, the experience they gained, and the results they achieved.

Tahira Baylarova, a fourth-year student in the "Electrical and Electronics Engineering" specialty of the dual-degree program carried out jointly by BEU and INHA University, spoke at the meeting. Together with Ulkar Rahimli, a BEU student in the same specialty, she shared her impressions of taking part in and achieving success at the world final of the "International World Innovative Student Exhibition" (IWISE) international innovation competition, held in London, United Kingdom.

It was noted that Tahira Baylarova was awarded 1st place in the "Labyrinth" category, completing the task in 4.11 seconds among 18 competing teams. Ulkar Rahimli achieved a successful performance in the "Robosoccer" category, competing among 14 teams, and took 1st place.

Tahira Baylarova also spoke about the opportunities that participation in international competitions creates for students, and the contribution such events make to developing their knowledge and skills, gaining international experience, and building new connections.

At the meeting, the views and proposals of young people who had taken part in internationally significant events and competitions held in Kazakhstan, Hungary, Switzerland, Malaysia, Italy, the United Kingdom, the USA, Finland, Uzbekistan, and China were heard.

Minister Farid Gayibov highly praised the results achieved by the young people and wished them continued success.
