BEU-BUCT Dual Degree Program

BEU-BUCT Dual Degree Program

Launched in 2025, a dual degree program is now in effect between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and the Beijing University of Chemical Technology in the People's Republic of China. This initiative marks a historic milestone as the first undergraduate dual degree program established between universities in Azerbaijan and China. The program covers the fields of Chemical, Computer, and Mechanical Engineering.

Operating on a 2+2 model agreed upon by both institutions, students who successfully complete their first two years at BEU continue their third and fourth years in China, subject to relevant procedures. Notably, students with a GPA exceeding 80 receive a full tuition waiver.

The primary objective of this program is to train a new generation of specialists by leveraging cutting-edge scientific achievements and innovative teaching technologies, while also modernizing the content and quality of Azerbaijan's higher education system. Simultaneously, it grants students access to world-class education, diverse teaching methodologies, and advanced technologies and laboratories.

By enhancing graduates' recognition in the international labor market, boosting their competitiveness, and expanding global career prospects, these programs also contribute significantly to educational ties with other nations. Upon completion, students are awarded two bachelor's degrees. Supporting dual degree collaborations with nations known for advanced education systems—particularly with foreign universities holding top spots in international rankings—lays a vital foundation for the development of talented, high-potential youth distinguished by their intellect and leadership skills.
