DEPARTMENT OF AZERBAIJANI LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE
Azerbaijani language and literature, which is in the focus of attention on the scope of social sciences, are of particular importance in terms of the most complete and vivid embodiment of our national existence, life and thinking. The Azerbaijani language and literature have become a very important area of science and art with its ancient and richness.
The main goals and objectives of the Chair of "Azerbaijani Language and Literature" are to: provide students with broad and basic knowledge; to train our language and literature as the great national wealth, the basic values of the existence of our people; To create a detailed and profound scientific understanding of students about the way of development of Azerbaijani language and literature, history of development and its present state; to form high artistic taste and independent thinking; language, literature as the main thought and moral phenomenon; To teach the basics of Turkology, Turkic language and literature of Turkic nations to introduce the Turkic world more closely. He has set aside the main task of educating teachers who master all these skills and incorporate high moral qualities. Another purpose of our department is to teach students the ability to speak fluently and write, and to explore some of their research habits.
At the bachelor level of the department, students are mainly engaged in language and literature education, as well as their specialties, as well as their ability to learn practical skills in language and literature, to develop their aesthetic tastes. Our education at magistracy strives to educate professionals who work successfully in every field of language and literature, not only in Azerbaijan but also in language and literature.
At the department, the subjects related to the Azerbaijani language, literature and their teaching are: "Azerbaijani Language", "History of Azerbaijan Literature", "Methodology of Teaching Azerbaijani Language", "Methodology of Literature Teaching", "Introduction to Linguistics", "Dialogue of Azerbaijani Dialectology" , "History of the Azerbaijani Language", "World Literature", "Introduction to Turkology", "Theory of Literature", "The poetics of Dastan", "Mythology and Literature" subjects are taught.
At the department besides bachelor's degree, magistracy training is also provided. There are also magistrates on "Azerbaijan language" and "Azerbaijan Literature" specialties. Lectures, seminars and practical exercises are conducted at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, referrals and graduation studies are conducted, and students are directed to scientific research.
Students who successfully complete the faculty of Azerbaijani language and literature can work in higher and secondary schools as well as in publishing houses, newspapers and magazines, cultural organizations, radio and television channels.
There are also plans for doctorate and doctoral dissertations on the specialty "Azerbaijani language" and "Azerbaijan literature".
The chair's activities include activities in the field of Azerbaijani language and literature, as well as publishing and publishing methodical works, programs, textbooks and textbooks.
Pedagogical internships
Our students have to take part in the experiments to develop their theoretical knowledge and skills gained in the learning process and to develop their competencies. Experiences are conducted in a group or subgroup with teacher guidance and cover pedagogical practices.
The 4th year students studying at the bachelor's degree teach the pedagogical preparation of students, teach ways to apply modern interactive methods in the teaching of Azerbaijani as well as literature, as well as to formulate the ability to use different means to increase the practicality of the training process, to justify the link between the developmental and educational goals, and so on. pedagogical experiments are carried out in general education schools, special educational institutions (gymnasium, lyceum, etc.) in summer semester. Each student must prepare the documents needed for the pedagogical practice and submit the supervisor to the teacher at the end of the practice.
Scientific-pedagogical internships
Master’s degree of the specialty "Azerbaijan language" and "Azerbaijan Literature" are conducting pedagogical experiments in the chair of "Azerbaijani language and literature". Masters are actively involved in the specialty classes of the teachers of the department and at the same time, they teach samples lessons under the supervision of the responsible teacher. Studies in scientific-pedagogical practice are reflected in reports.
Scientific-reseacrh internships
Masters of the specialty "Azerbaijani language" at the chair of "Azerbaijani language and literature" are trained at the Institute of Linguistics of ANAS and magistrates of the "Azerbaijan Literature" department conduct research in the Institute of Folklore of ANAS. The masters will be provided with detailed information about the beginning and end of the research experience, the work and assignments they are going to take during the internship, and the documents to be handed over. Depending on the topic of the master dissertation work, students are enrolled in the departments of the institutes. They are introduced to various methods of doing research, and benefit from library resources. The studies performed in the research practice are reflected in reports.
Employees of the chair of "Azerbaijani language and literature" are doing valuable work in the transfer of national consciousness and identity to the new generation, as well as to educate the students as useful personalities. Teachers of the chair carry out scientific research works planned in the plan, organize various events and seminars to raise scientific pedagogical level and to involve students in scientific researches. The department is currently conducting scientific research on literary language problems, in terms of literary and artistic issues.
