Foreign Scientists Share Impressions of Conference at BEU

The international scientific conference on "Innovative Synthesis and Functional Materials," held at Baku Engineering University (BEU), continued its proceedings today with section sessions.

The sessions featured scientific discussions covering the following areas: organic chemistry and fine organic synthesis, renewable energy and green technologies, physical chemistry and catalytic processes, modern approaches to the synthesis of inorganic materials, contemporary analytical chemistry methods, nanomaterials and nanostructured systems, biotechnology, advanced polymers and composite materials, and petrochemical synthesis.

Scientists from foreign countries shared their impressions of the conference.

Valentin Nenajdenko, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS):

- It was a great pleasure for me to visit Azerbaijan again. I have a sincere fondness for Baku. Baku Engineering University is truly a remarkable institution of higher education. Talented students study here. Yesterday and today, at this conference organized by the university, we held productive discussions on various topics related to chemistry. I hope this conference will yield positive results both for Azerbaijani education and for the science of chemistry.

Professor Jiaxu Xu, Beijing University of Chemical Technology:

- This is my first visit to Azerbaijan, and to Baku Engineering University in particular. I toured the university, visited all the laboratories, familiarized myself with the research facilities available here, and also had the opportunity to speak with students. I believe this young institution of higher education, which has a strong foundation, will continue to develop further in the future.

Professor Fliur Zainutdin Macaev, Moldova State University:

- It is a great pleasure to be in Azerbaijan, in Baku, and to participate in an international conference held at such a university. We have established a strong relationship with Baku Engineering University. Last year, we co-published two articles in a high-impact factor journal. This is a good start for collaboration, and we are always ready for broader cooperation.

Professor Muhammad Nawaz Tahir, Sardoba University, Pakistan:

- This international conference held at Baku Engineering University served as a valuable platform for beneficial meetings and discussions among students and scientists. I would like to thank the organizers for that. I am confident that mutual cooperation will expand further in the future. Meetings and scientific discussions of this kind are of great importance, as they both broaden our connections and positively impact the exchange of scientific experience.

It should be noted that during the plenary session of the conference and the panel session that continued today, professors from RAS chemistry institutes, Moscow State University, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, South Ural State University, Yıldız Technical University and Gebze University of Türkiye, Sardoba University of Pakistan, and Moldova State University delivered scientific presentations.

A total of 360 papers were submitted to the conference from 17 foreign countries, with the event aimed at facilitating discussion of the latest scientific achievements in modern chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, energy materials, biomaterials, polymers, and other related fields, as well as expanding scientific collaboration.
