Students Attend Infotour to Azercosmos in Gobustan

An infotour has been organized to the Headquarters (center) of the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azercosmos) located in Gobustan. Students studying at the bachelor's and master's levels of Baku Engineering University in the Departments of Ecological Engineering and Environmental Protection and Efficient Use of Natural Resources participated in the infotour. 

 As part of the infotour, students were provided with extensive information about the center's activities. The presentation highlighted the center's role in providing a global communication network, its activities as a regional space center, and its contributions to the development of the space industry in the country.

During the visit, students got acquainted with the application of satellite data in remote sensing of the Earth, environmental management, the mining industry, and other areas. Moreover, interesting information was presented about satellite platforms, their subsystems, classification of satellites by orbit, control of the "Azersky" satellite and the operations carried out.
