Rector Meet with Turkish Scientists Invited to Teach at BEU

Yagub Piriyev, Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), met with professors Aysel Ersoy and Rüya Shamli from Istanbul Cerrahpaşa University of Türkiye, and Associate Professor Serdar Biroghul from Düzce University, who are visiting the higher education institution.
The Rector stated that further strengthening cooperation with fraternal Türkiye is of great importance for BEU and drew attention to the work being carried out in this direction. He also informed the guests about the work accomplished in recent years at BEU, which was established in 2016 in accordance with the relevant decree of President Ilham Aliyev with the aim of improving the teaching of engineering technologies and ensuring the training of highly qualified personnel in this field. The Rector expressed his gratitude to the Turkish scientists invited to teach core specialized subjects in SABAH program groups for their effective work, emphasizing that organizing master classes, involving foreign specialists in teaching, and conducting laboratory courses are part of the university's successful tradition of international cooperation and make an important contribution to enhancing students' knowledge and skills. Stating that such academic collaborations also accelerate the professional development of faculty members and create conditions for further internationalization of the teaching environment, Yagub Piriyev expressed confidence that the cooperation that has begun will deepen further.
Subsequently, the Turkish scientists shared that they were in Baku for the first time and expressed their positive impressions of our country, as well as their views on the high-quality teaching environment and infrastructure created at BEU and the classes conducted with students. They also indicated their interest in continuing cooperation with BEU on a broader scale.
Future partnership directions were discussed in detail at the meeting.
