BUCT Rector Familiarize with BEU's Modern Laboratories

A delegation led by the Rector of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) of the People's Republic of China, Tan Tianwei, familiarized themselves with the modern laboratories of Baku Engineering University (BEU) during their visit to our country.

The guests were provided with detailed information about the scientific research environment established at the university, the innovative laboratory infrastructure, and the practical training opportunities implemented across engineering disciplines.

The Chinese delegation highly commended the development of BEU's scientific and technical base, noting that the modern educational conditions created for students meet international standards.

BEU officials also presented information on the innovative teaching approaches applied at the university, as well as the activities carried out within the framework of the joint dual-degree program with BUCT. The importance of expanding cooperation between the parties in the areas of scientific research and technology exchange was emphasized.

It is worth noting that the official opening ceremony of the "BUCT-BEU Faculty of Engineering" was held at BEU the previous day. Instruction at the faculty will be organized on a 3+1 model basis. With an annual intake of 100 students, the faculty will train specialists in the fields of computer science/artificial intelligence, chemical engineering, biotechnology, and mechanical engineering. Students who successfully complete their studies will have the opportunity to obtain diplomas from both universities. New laboratories, joint research opportunities, and academic exchange programs will be established for students within the faculty.

Furthermore, under the dual-degree program signed between BEU and BUCT in April of last year, students across 6 disciplines - Chemical, Computer, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Business Administration - have been provided the opportunity to study both in Azerbaijan and in China.

These partnerships contribute to the development of strategic cooperation in the field of higher education between the two countries.
