New Students of Faculty of Engineering Get Acquainted with BEU

Orientation meetings with first-year students admitted to Baku Engineering University (BEU) this year are continuing. The latest meeting was held with new students admitted to the specialties of the Faculty of Engineering.

Speaking at the meeting, the faculty's Dean, Asif Guliyev, congratulated the students on behalf of the university's leadership and wished them success in their higher education journey. The dean provided extensive information about the modern educational environment formed at BEU, the faculty's activities, the teaching process, and the favorable conditions created for students. He advised the students to make effective use of their university years and to continuously improve their academic performance.

At the meeting, the importance of students' academic development, active participation in the teaching process, acquisition of modern knowledge and skills, as well as making use of the opportunities and international projects offered by the university, was emphasized. New students were informed about BEU's electronic management system, internal rules of discipline, teaching infrastructure, and the material and technical base of the engineering and other laboratories, whose operations have been reorganized.

Alongside this, attention was drawn to the conditions created for the effective organization of students' educational and social life at BEU, which stands out for its expansive and modern campus infrastructure. In this regard, information was provided about the effective organization of students' leisure time, support for their personal development, and the activities of student organizations and clubs that enable participation in various public and academic activities. It was noted that students' active participation in university life plays an important role in both their personal and professional development.

At the end of the event, an exam was held to place students admitted to the faculty's English-language sections into groups matching their level of language proficiency, in order to ensure more effective development of their English language skills.
