A group of first-year students from the College of Economics and Humanities under Baku State University visited Baku Engineering University (BEU) on an excursion led by their chemistry teachers.
The students were given a close familiarization with the university's material and technical infrastructure, modern laboratories, and the academic and research facilities in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering, and biotechnology. They were provided with detailed information on the educational process, innovative approaches, and research activities carried out at the higher education institution.
As part of the visit, a meeting was arranged between the students and BEU Rector Yagub Piriyev. The Rector noted that such excursions are of particular significance in terms of broadening students' academic outlook, introducing them to the higher education environment, and fostering integration in the field of education. The students were informed about BEU's achievements in international rankings in recent years, newly opened specializations, dual degree programs being implemented with universities in China and South Korea, as well as the newly established "BCUT-BEU Faculty of Engineering" jointly created with Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BCUT).
During the meeting, questions addressed by the students in accordance with their academic interests were answered in detail, and an exchange of views was held regarding their future educational and career prospects, as well as opportunities for gaining international experience. The discussions placed special emphasis on the development of students' individual growth, the cultivation of competencies aligned with the demands of the global labor market, and the importance of integration into the international academic environment.
