July 31, 2026
The BUCT-BEU Faculty of Engineering, jointly established by Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), one of the prestigious higher education institutions of the People's Republic of China, offers applicants the opportunity to receive engineering education meeting international standards and to continue their studies within the framework of a dual-degree program.
The faculty, which will begin operating in the 2026-2027 academic year, will provide education in the specialties of Computer Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Mechanical Engineering.
Applicants who took part in the 2026 bachelor's-level admission examinations may be admitted to this program by giving preference to the relevant specialties of the BUCT-BEU Faculty of Engineering during the specialty selection (coding) stage.
The dual-degree program at the faculty will be carried out on the basis of a 3+1 educational model. Students will complete the first three years of their studies at BEU and the final year at BUCT. Graduates who successfully fulfill the program's academic requirements will be awarded diplomas from both BEU and BUCT.
The educational process will be organized with the joint participation of experienced faculty members from both universities.
The faculty's integrative approach to engineering education creates broad opportunities for students to develop practical skills alongside theoretical training, gain experience in the international academic environment, and build competencies in working with modern technologies. This approach serves to help graduates adapt to the changing demands of the labor market and develop into competitive specialists in their future academic, scientific, and professional activities. The curricula have been developed on the basis of international engineering education standards and are aimed at ensuring that students acquire fundamental theoretical knowledge, modern scientific approaches, and professional competencies, as well as the knowledge and skills necessary to operate successfully in the global academic and professional environment.
Within the faculty, a favorable academic environment will be formed for students' engagement in international research projects, expanding their participation in academic mobility programs, and developing their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of innovation and advanced technologies. In addition, the further expansion of institutional cooperation between BEU and BUCT in research activities, the innovation ecosystem, and technology transfer is envisaged.
This model of cooperation will give students the opportunity to integrate into the international education and research environment, participate in global scientific cooperation networks, gain practical experience in innovative projects, and build a solid academic and professional foundation for their future careers.
For applicants who wish to receive engineering education meeting international standards, obtain a dual degree, and develop into highly qualified engineers meeting the demands of the global labor market, the BUCT-BEU Faculty of Engineering is a favorable choice for successful academic and professional development.
