A graduation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic year was held in the Republic of Korea for graduates of the fully state-funded dual degree program implemented between Baku Engineering University and INHA University (BEU-INHA DDP).
In their speeches at the ceremony, university leadership and faculty members congratulated the graduates and highly commended the achievements they attained during their studies. The speakers emphasized the knowledge and skills the international dual degree program had provided to the students and wished the graduates success in their future professional careers.
Following this, Tae Joon Jeon, Dean of the Global Education Project Group, Eunvook Chang, Associate Dean, and Paikkyun Shin, Professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, presented the "Certificate of Honor" to 2 of the 114 fourth-year graduates completing their studies at INHA University — Jala Karimli and Hasan Aliyev (Electronics Engineering).
Among the graduates, Samira Azadalizade (Information Technologies) and Ozlem Abbasli (Electronics Engineering) delivered speeches on behalf of the students. The event concluded with the traditional "cap toss" ceremony.
After returning to Baku, the students who graduated from INHA are expected to undergo the defense process at BEU. Following the defense, the students will receive 2 diplomas, and a "Graduation Day" will be organized for them at BEU.
Within the framework of the international dual degree program, which is based on a 3+1 model, a total of 329 students are currently studying across both phases of the project. They are entitled to study for 3 years at BEU and 1 year at INHA University.
The program, which has been implemented since 2020, was extended until 2030 by President Ilham Aliyev's Order dated July 22, 2025, "On Additional Measures Related to Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan."
To date, 143 people have graduated from the BEU-INHA Dual Degree Program.
