New Directions of Cooperation Between BEU and TIIAME Discussed

Future directions of cooperation between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Uzbekistan's Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University (TIIAME) were discussed.

The meeting drew attention to the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the two universities at the "QS Eurasia Forum 2025," held in Tashkent in November 2025. Within the framework of the obligations arising from the memorandum, issues such as promoting joint activity in academic and research fields, carrying out faculty and student exchange, sharing scientific publications, and jointly implementing educational programs and various projects were reviewed.

During the discussions, a wide-ranging exchange of views took place on further deepening the existing cooperation between BEU and TIIAME, identifying new projects of mutual interest, and implementing future joint initiatives.

The parties expressed confidence that the continued development of cooperation would contribute to a more efficient use of both universities' scientific and academic potential, the implementation of new joint initiatives, and the further strengthening of higher education ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

TIIAME, which holds National Research University status, stands out for its rich academic traditions and extensive research capabilities. The university's expansion of its activity in information technology, data science, and artificial intelligence, alongside water management, agriculture, climate, and sustainable development, creates broad opportunities for implementing joint scientific and academic projects with BEU in various fields.
