BEU Student Wins "SmarTech-I" Competition

Shahla Mammadova, a third-year student in the "Chemistry" specialty at Baku Engineering University (BEU), was awarded 1st place at the final stage of "SmarTech-I" — the "Innovations for a Green and Smart Future Competition."

Shahla Mammadova was highly praised by the jury for her presentation of the "VivaLina" startup idea, aimed at ensuring ecological sustainability and reducing waste. The project, which targets reducing the environmental impact of personal hygiene products, stood out for its innovative and sustainable approach to solutions.

The competition was organized by the Sumgayit State Technical College, a public legal entity (PLE) under Sumgayit State University, with the aim of supporting young people's innovative thinking, technological skills, and potential in the field of sustainable development.

It should be noted that the "VivaLina" startup, a resident of the BEU Technopark, developed through participation in various training and mentorship programs.
