BEU Students Present Innovative Digital Projects

Third-year students of the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies at Baku Engineering University (BEU) have presented innovative software and digital projects they have developed.
During the presentations, students provided information on the concept, technical capabilities, operating principles, and future development prospects of five distinct projects aimed at solving real-world problems. Modern programming technologies were employed in the development of the projects, and students demonstrated their ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical products.
One of the projects presented is the "Exam-AI" platform. Developed by Habib Panahli, Abdulla Abbasov, Qurban Sadiqli, Nihat Mardanov, and Aydin Aliyev, the project envisages the digitalization of the process of organizing, conducting, and evaluating examinations at educational institutions. The Java-based intelligent platform integrates teacher and student panels into a unified system and is capable of automatically checking tests, analyzing results, and generating reports.
The "Masam" project serves to make the process of presenting bills and processing payments at restaurants faster and more convenient. Developed by Sanan Hasanli, Agil Gasimov, Yusif Jafarli, Ali Karimov, Amin Miraliyev, and Nurlan Najafov, this system allows customers to scan a QR code placed on the table, view their bill on their smartphone, and make payment directly. The project reduces the need for customers to wait for a waiter and enables the digitalization of restaurant management processes.
Another project presented by Polad Aliyev, Isameddin Qurbanov, Islam Aghabalayev, and Khayal Sharifov is the "StartTap" platform. The platform helps individuals with innovative ideas find suitable team members, co-founders, and partners, and creates conditions for users to connect based on their skills, interests, and goals, form new teams, and jointly develop startup projects.
The "Linux-based WhatsApp Bot," developed by Habib Panahli, provides automated management of incoming calls and messages when the user is busy or resting. Built on Node.js and Puppeteer technologies, the bot recognizes notifications, filters unwanted communications, and sends pre-defined personalized responses to the other party.
The "RetroRide" project is a specialized digital platform for individuals interested in classic and retro automobiles in Azerbaijan. Developed by Nihad Musayev and Nihat Damirov, the platform brings together classic car owners and potential buyers. Users can post detailed information and photographs about vehicles, conduct searches using specific filters, and establish direct contact with sellers.
During the presentations, students demonstrated working prototypes and the core functions of the projects.
This project activity, carried out under the supervision of lecturer Rustem Azimov, made a significant contribution to the development of students' practical skills in programming, teamwork, analytical thinking, problem identification, the development of innovative solutions, and the presentation of digital products.
