Intellectual Competition Held Among BEU Students

An intellectual competition dedicated to the 103rd birth anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU), organized by the Department of General Subjects.

Speaking at the event, Head of the Department Humeyrа Mustafayeva addressed the philosophy of statehood and the ideology of Azerbaijanism championed by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and their pivotal role in the development of the country. She noted that the Great Leader, who consistently placed the national interests of the people above all else, rendered invaluable services in strengthening Azerbaijan's independence, advancing statehood, and ensuring national unity.

It was noted that Heydar Aliyev steered the country out of a complex socio-political situation, achieved the establishment of stability, and oversaw the building of a strong state and armed forces. It was also emphasized that the outstanding statesman consistently kept the preservation of national identity, the mother tongue, and national and moral values at the forefront, while attaching particular importance to the all-round development of young people. Humeyrа Mustafayeva stated that such events are of great significance in terms of enhancing students' knowledge of Heydar Aliyev's political activities, principles of statehood, and national values.

A two-round intellectual competition was then launched with the participation of students from various fields of study at the university. During the competition, participants answered questions related to Heydar Aliyev's statesmanship, political legacy, and the ideology of Azerbaijanism.

Based on the results of the quiz, the "Istiqlal" team claimed 1st place, "Azadliq" 2nd place, "Goyturk" 3rd place, and "Qafqaz" 4th place.

Diplomas were presented to the winning teams accordingly.
