Research by BEU Professor Published in a Q1 Journal

A scientific article co-authored by Professor Rakib Afandiyev, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Baku Engineering University (BEU), has been published in the Q1-category journal Symmetry, which is indexed in the prestigious international scientific database Scopus.
In the article entitled “Analytic Solutions and Solvability of the Polyharmonic Cauchy Problem in ℝⁿ,” the authors investigate analytic solutions to the Cauchy problem for polyharmonic equations and provide a scientific justification of the impact of symmetry on the structure, stability, and solvability conditions of the solutions. Within the framework of the research, convergent series solutions were constructed using hyperspherical harmonics and homogeneous harmonic polynomials, and necessary and sufficient solvability criteria were identified.
