BEU's New Master's Specialization in "Artificial Intelligence"

Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, one of the new specializations to be launched at the master's level at the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies of Baku Engineering University (BEU) is the "Artificial Intelligence" specialization within the "Computer Science" major.

 

This specialization is of strategic importance in strengthening the training of highly qualified personnel in the field of artificial intelligence and shaping human capital in line with the requirements of the digital economy. The aim is to train highly qualified specialists with deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills in artificial intelligence systems and technologies, machine learning, generative artificial intelligence, data science and Big Data technologies, neural networks, deep learning, natural language processing, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, machine learning for Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR), computer vision, data mining, as well as probability and statistics for artificial intelligence.

 

The educational program equips students with professional competencies in key areas such as modern directions in artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, business analytics, decision-making, as well as the development and implementation of innovative projects. As a result, graduates acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to carry out the tasks required in their respective fields of activity.

 

In the initial stage of the specialization's curriculum, students acquire the necessary mathematical, technical, and technological knowledge in order to build a solid theoretical foundation in their professional field. In the next stage, they master advanced methods and technologies in artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, neural networks, and other modern areas. In the final stage, they undergo academic-pedagogical and research internships in order to apply the theoretical knowledge they have gained in a real work environment and develop their practical skills, and also defend their master's dissertation.
