37 BEU Students Depart for China within Dual-Degree Program

The next groups of students, who will continue the 3rd and 4th years of their bachelor's studies at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) within the framework of the dual-degree program carried out jointly by Baku Engineering University (BEU) and BUCT, have departed for the People's Republic of China. With this, the process of sending off 37 BEU students who will study in China during the 2026/2027 academic year has been completed.

Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, the students will continue their studies in the relevant specialties at BUCT. The implementation of the dual-degree program between BEU and BUCT began in 2025. Being the first bachelor's-level dual-degree program carried out between higher education institutions of Azerbaijan and China, it covers 6 specialties — "Chemical Engineering," "Computer Engineering," "Mechanical Engineering," "Chemistry," "Biotechnology," and "Business Administration."

Within the framework of the program, carried out on the basis of a "2+2" model, students complete their first two years of studies at BEU and then study at BUCT in their 3rd and 4th years. During this period, they benefit from the academic opportunities of both universities, develop their theoretical and practical knowledge in their specialties, and also gain experience in the international educational environment.

Graduates who successfully fulfill the program's requirements are to be awarded bachelor's diplomas by both BEU and BUCT. The BEU-BUCT dual-degree program contributes to expanding higher education cooperation between Azerbaijan and China and to training highly qualified specialists.
