New Computer Laboratory Put into Operation at BEU
January 27, 2026
A new Computer Laboratory has been put into operation at Baku Engineering University (BEU) as a continuation of ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education and adapt it to modern challenges.
The new laboratory has been established based on technological innovations with the aim of helping students majoring in information technology (IT) to master relevant subjects, strengthen their practical knowledge and skills, and make their innovative concepts a reality. The high-performance, latest-model equipment in the laboratory creates extensive opportunities for working with modern programs applied in the field of engineering and IT.
The commissioning of the new laboratory once again demonstrates BEU's position as a higher education institution with a strong material and technical base. In terms of the number and technical capabilities of computer laboratories, BEU has taken a leading position among the country's higher education institutions. The Cybersecurity Laboratory, which has been operating at the university since 2024 and is equipped with the most modern devices and equipment, is a unique educational and practical center in terms of its purpose, as well as software and technical capabilities. The higher education institution's numerous existing laboratories serve to conduct teaching in various specializations in accordance with modern standards, as well as to expand scientific research activities.
The new computer laboratory is of particular importance for groups studying within the framework of the SABAH program. Classes held in the laboratory will enable more in-depth and application-oriented teaching of core specialized subjects in SABAH programs.
Such opportunities created make a significant contribution to the professional development of young specialists and their preparation as competitive personnel in the labor market.
BEU has defined the continuous renewal of educational and scientific infrastructure as a strategic priority, and the commissioning of two more similar laboratories is planned in the near future.
